Harry Potter
Yep, I'm obsessed with Harry Potter, the books that it. The movies are okay but they really don't cover enough the intrigue and magic that is Hogwarts. I got my copy of HP and the Half-Blood Prince yesterday and finished reading it little after lunch today. Don't worry I'm not going to give away anything too interesting here. Glayde was glad the that book finally got here or rather that he checked the mailbox and found it there with a bunch of other mundane things. You see all morning I was asking "Where's my Harry Potter?" and jumping up to check the front door whenever I thought I heard a delivery van drive by. Why was I waiting for a delivery van when the book was in our mailbox. I was easily fooled by the fact that Amazon gave me a UPS tracking number. I still haven't figured out how that works actually I haven't thought about it too much since I was devouring the book instead.
You would have thought that once I got my hot little hands on the book I would have calmed down. Nope! I was giving Glayde updates about things in the book he could care less about. He's only seen the movies and doesn't seem to get that he's really missing out here, so I feel compelled to keep telling him tidbits about Harry and Malfoy's ongoing feud, how romance is fairing at Hogwarts and whenever someone dies. He's really thrilled about this let me tell you.
It was a great story like J.K. Rowling always delivers. No it wasn't high art but it was a great read. It's sad to read the end of the book not only for the events of the story but knowing that the next book is not even on the horizon yet. *sigh* I'll just have to reread HBP a few times. Heck, I'm even think about reading the first book to Grant here soon. Hopefully I can do it justice and he'll be my little HP fan.

Oh Miss Stacy!
I just can't get into the HP thing! You KNOW I've tried for you and S, but I just can't! However, I'm very happy for you that you got to read your newest book. Whenever I see the book in the store, I think of you. LOL!

Oh, I was doing the same thing on Saturday. I kept watching for the UPS man, and tracking the package, only to find it in my mailbox! It really was a great read. The only thing that bugs me, is now the wait begins for 7!

I bought my book on Saturday before we set out on the way back up from Newport News and I read half of the book before we got home because we stood in traffic. ^^ I loved it.
I'm definitely thrilled to see what happens in the next book. One forum I go to has a lot of discussion on it already and a lot of different theories. Most people think that Dumbledore knew all along what Draco was up to. They also think that Snape needed to prove to Voldemort that he was loyal so what happened HAD to happen in order for that. Some people think Neville is actually the Chosen One and it'll come down to a battle between him and Voldemort in book 7.
